Academic Affairs

Academic Affairs encompasses services to faculty, staff, academic administrators, and councils; all of who share a commitment to bring Goddard’s unique learning experience to students.

The mission of the Academic Affairs Office is to support faculty and staff in actualizing and maintaining a high quality learning experience for Goddard students as their programs engage the College’s mission and strategic goals. The Academic Affairs office is responsible for the College’s academic policies and procedures; institutional accreditation and accountability; program reviews; academic personnel (evaluations, appointments, and reappointments); student learning outcomes and assessments processes; supporting new academic initiatives; curricular development, program and college Institutional Research Boards; special academic projects; residency planning and publication of schedules; student academic resources (including handbooks and program addenda); and development and publication of the academic calendar.

The Academic Affairs Office collaborates with Community Life, the Registrar’s Office, and the Library in our shared work to create the best possible student and faculty experience at Goddard.

The Provost and Chief Academic Officer is a core participant in the College’s budget development and strategic planning. The CAO/Dean collaborates closely with the Associate Academic Dean, Program Lead, and the Faculty Council in a broad array of academic policy and strategic planning issues.
